Today was the kind of day where I would’ve rather just curled up in a flower pot and napped all afternoon.
I’m turning 28 on the 28th. Someone told me this means it’s my “golden birthday,” which is when you turn the age of the date on which you were born, and Wikipedia confirms. (Apparently the golden birthday is also called grand birthday, lucky birthday, star birthday, and Champagne birthday, the latter of which I especially like.) It’s a nice way to put a positive spin on The Day On Which I’m Even Closer To 30.
So, despite being on a serious anti-accumulation kick right now (I actually had a dream last night that I was drowning in my belongings), I decided to get in the spirit of things and come up with my Champagne Fantasy Birthday Wish List.
This print, which reminds me of Wyoming in September.
This fabric, which I want to make little seat cushions out of for the kitchen “breakfast nook.”
A Maine pillow and a Michigan pillow, one for each side of the couch.
This desk, which will inspire me to keep my papers, bills and books in order (I swear!) instead of letting them spill out on every surface within reach of my desk chair.
This perfume, simply for its name: Rumpledcake?!
And finally, this bike, oh this bike (in cream, duh), which I will gleefully ride all over town instead of loathing the way it makes me feel like I should be sweating hard and wearing spandex (sorry, current bike).
The end.
